Job summary

University of Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse for Chandler 6 North and 6 East in the Adult Medicine/Pulmonary units. The role includes direct patient care for moderately stable patients with complex needs and requires active Kentucky RN licensure and current BLS.

Two 12-hour day shifts, Saturdays and Sundays, are included with weekend premium WEPP. Responsibilities include ongoing patient assessment, care planning, and teamwork with physicians and staff to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN license (or equivalent) in good standing
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
• Temporary Work Permit (TWP), Provisional License or compact-state RN license acceptable
• No experience required for entry-level RN role
• Must meet physical requirements listed for the job

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in Adult Medicine/Pulmonary units
• Assess, document, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing team to optimize patient outcomes
• Supervise Nursing Care Technicians and delegate duties
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety practices
