Avera Health is seeking an RN to provide direct patient care at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. The role involves 12-hour shifts, with regular days and periodic nights, weekends, and on-call coverage as needed.

You will coordinate with the health care team to implement care plans and support patients and families. Responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions, documenting conditions, teaching patients, and ensuring safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Ability to perform essential job functions including visual acuity and communication.
• Preferred 1-3 years clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis and care objectives.
• Provides physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Reviews physician prescriptions and communicates the care plan to the health care team.
• Develops nursing care plans by obtaining histories and documenting condition.
• Teaches patients and families about condition, medications, and self-care.
