Job summary

UnityPoint Health-Meriter is seeking a Registered Nurse for an IMCU setting. The RN will perform patient care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on nights and rotating weekends/holidays. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered and orientation is required in the first weeks.

The unit focuses on acute and chronic care with neurologic, cardiac, metabolic and vascular conditions. The role requires BSN or equivalent and Wisconsin RN licensure, plus CPR eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BSN or similar nursing degree.
• Current RN licensure in Wisconsin.
• CPR certification or eligible within 3 months of hire.
• Previous patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to hospital policies and care standards.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.

Shift: Over Night ; 8 & 12 hour shifts; with e/o weekend and holiday rotation
The Registered Nurse performs patient care procedures and skills acquired through graduation of an accredited school of nursing. The RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care according to hospital polices, procedures, protocols and care standards. The RN is responsible for direct and indirect care of patients through the supervision of select delegated nursing acts and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.

RNs on this 45-bed intermediate care unit will use the nursing process to manage acute and chronic illnesses including neurologic, cardiac, metabolic and vascular diseases. Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Will consider other nursing degrees on an individual basis.
• Previous patient care experience (may be as a student in a clinical setting).
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Wisconsin Current
• CPR certification or eligible to complete within 3 months of hire

Must be available the first2 weeks of employment on the day shift to attend orientation
