Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Centreville, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide in-home pediatric care for a patient with a G-tube and Broviac line, 8:30am–8:30pm. Weekdays and weekends are available.

This position offers competitive pay, weekly paychecks, and a comprehensive benefits program. The RN must hold a VA license, have BLS, and pediatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license for the state of practice (VA).
• Experience with pediatric home health is preferred.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to manage medically complex pediatric patients at home.
• Familiarity with G-tube and Broviac line care is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as contracted.
• Initiates the plan of care and revises with prescriber as patient needs change.
• Applies therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions per diagnosis and goals.
• Responds to changes in patient condition and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews and coordinates care plans and discharge planning as applicable.

Job description

Maxim Healthcare in Centreville, VA is hiring for a Registered Nurse to work with pediatric patient who has a G-tube and Broviac line in the personal home setting from 8:30am-8:30pm. Weekdays and weekend shifts are available.

Pay: $45-47 / hour

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
