Overview of Responsibilities

Night shift RN (Schedule: 36 hours weekly, 7:00 p‑m to 7:30 a‑m) at the Orthopedic Medical Unit.

• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) competence following initial training.
• Demonstrate a calm, pleasant, and professional demeanor.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and various departments.
• Commit to patient satisfaction and safety.
• Apply interpersonal skills to instruct, comfort patients and families, and communicate with internal and external staff.
• Recognize and reinforce positive efforts of the healthcare team.
• Address issues tactfully and promptly.
• Meet established quality and quantity standards for the role.
• Use therapeutic touch to calm and comfort patients.
• Maintain a positive attitude, avoid complaining, and assist colleagues when possible.
• Show ownership and responsibility; use 'I' or 'we' rather than 'they' or 'them'.
• Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and support for patients’ desired outcomes.

Education & Experience

Minimum education: Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s Degree in Nursing.

Licensure & Certification

Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Indiana required. Maintain valid licensure.
