Job summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital, part of Catholic Health, is seeking a skilled Med/Surg RN with oncology interest to join our dedicated team in New York. You will assess, monitor, administer medications, document progress, and collaborate with physicians, RNs, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years of Oncology RN experience or 1+ years Med/Surg with oncology interest, a BSN preferred (Associates considered if enrolled in BSN), and NY RN licensure with

Qualifications

  • Oncology nursing passion and commitment.
  • Minimum 1+ years RN experience in Oncology preferred.
  • 1+ years RN medical/surgical experience with Oncology interest.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; associates considered if enrolled in BSN program.
  • New York RN license and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, administer medications, document progress, and manage overall care for medical/surgical patients.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Advocate for patients and families with safety interventions, emotional support, and education.

Job Details
Our Med/Surg RN's:
  • Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for medical/surgical patients.
  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.
What you'll bring:
  • Passion for Oncology
  • 1+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in Oncology preferred
  • 1+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) medical/surgical experience with an interest in Oncology
  • Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
  • Will consider Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
  • Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Salary Range

USD $56.39 - USD $73.66 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
