Fairmount Behavioral Health System invites applications for a Registered Nurse position on a psychiatric unit. Located on a 27-acre campus, Fairmount offers a peaceful environment for patients and families dealing with psychiatric, behavioral, and co-occurring substance use needs.
The RN will supervise nursing care on a designated unit and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to implement care plans.
Located on a 27-acre wooded campus, Fairmount Behavioral Health System is a peaceful, therapeutic environment for patients and families. Fairmount is a major regional resource for children, adolescents and adults who have psychiatric and behavioral problems as well as alcohol and drug dependency needs. The spacious campus borders Fairmount Park in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. With one of the leading alcohol and drug detox and rehab programs in Philadelphia, Fairmount is the provider of choice for individuals requiring specialized co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment. The Registered Nurse supervises the delivery of nursing care provided by professional and support nursing staff on a designated unit. Care is provided in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Fairmount Behavioral Health System and the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care and the Nursing Board of Pennsylvania. The RN prescribes, coordinates, and delegates care utilizing the nursing process which is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care. The RN is accountable for nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit.
