Job summary

Goldwater Care Marseilles is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.

You will report to the unit supervisor, administer medications as ordered, maintain charts, and ensure safety and quality of care. This full-time role requires a current RN license and the ability to work 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state licensure.
• Ability to work 12 hours a shift.
• Available every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and provide reports.
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel on your unit/shift.
• Complete and file required recordkeeping forms on admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Receive and transcribe telephone orders from physicians and record on the Physician's Order Form.
• Chart nurse's notes in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Develop and maintain good rapport with inter-departmental personnel.
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth and positive emphasis on the unit and shift.
• Administer professional services such as catheterization, tube feedings, and dressing changes as required.
• Monitor safety compliance in equipment and supplies use.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Goldwater Care Marseilles. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing direct nursing care to our residents and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
