Job summary

Kahala Nui in Honolulu, HI is seeking Registered Nurses to join our premier senior living community. You will provide comprehensive nursing care, assess residents, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote health, safety, and independence.

This role requires Hawaii RN license, ability to float between units, weekend/holiday availability, and proficiency with electronic health records. New graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid Hawaii RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Must be available to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays.
• Must be flexible to float to different units within the department.
• Ability to use EHR and basic computer applications per regulation.
• Proof of annual tuberculosis clearance and CPR/First Aid.

As a RN you are responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive nursing care for residents, ensuring their health, safety, comfort, and quality of life. RNs assess residents' health conditions, develops and implements care plans, administers medications and treatments, monitors changes in health status, and collaborates with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members. RNs maintain accurate medical records, ensures compliance with Department of Health and CMS regulations, and promotes a resident-centered environment that supports dignity and independence.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to solve problems under minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with basic computer functions, including email, web browsers, standard office applications, and electronic health records systems to document resident care and clinical workflows per regulation.
• Ability to lift, transfer and assist residents safely, including standing, bending, and prolonged walking or standing.
• Proof of annual tuberculosis clearance in accordance with state regulations.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous nursing experience in a long-term care or acute care setting.
