Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Detroit, MI is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in-home care for pediatric and/or adult patients. You will assess needs, develop and implement care plans, and communicate with families and healthcare teams.

The role requires an active Michigan RN license, current BLS, and compliance with health-screening requirements. Prior home health or pediatric experience is preferred, with a commitment to safe, compassionate patient care in the home environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Michigan.
• Current BLS certification.
• Health certificate requirement as per facility policy.
• PPD or Chest X-Ray as per state regulation.
• One year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in home settings.
• Initiates care plans and revises with prescriber input as patient status changes.
• Provides therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions.
• Intervenes to changes in patient condition and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments, monitors effectiveness, documents results.
• Reviews care plans and coordinates education, discharge planning and care needs.

Hourly Pay: $38 - $42 / per hour. Maxim Healthcare is hiring for a Registered Nurse (RN) in Detroit, MI to work with Pediatric and/or Adult patients in their own homes.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
