Job summary

Mindful Health, a multi-location Texas-based provider, seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver patient-centered care in PHP/IOP outpatient settings. You will assess patients, draw labs, develop plans, and support education groups while ensuring privacy and high-quality care.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas RN license, CPR certification, and at least six months of nursing experience in behavioral health or related settings. Schedule is Monday–Friday with a salary range of $75K–$95K.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) for Mindful Health is responsible for providing patient-centered nursing care to various patient populations in outpatient care settings, including Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient programs (PHP and IOP). The Registered Nurse will assess patients, draw and report on labs, perform nursing assessments, develop treatment plans for current and future patient medical needs, oversee nursing education groups, and assist in delivering alternative treatments.


Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Provide nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting.

  • Assess patients and develop treatment plans.

  • Draw and report on labs to providers.

  • Perform nursing assessments on appropriate patients attending the PHP/IOP program and admit/discharge orders as required.

  • Communicate directly with the patient, their family, and medical care team members to help ensure the patient-care plan's desired goals are met.

  • Oversee scheduled nursing education groups as required.

  • Deliver high standards of care based on best practices by reporting pertinent information to providers, therapists, social workers, etc.

  • Maintain strong customer relations with patients and referral sources.

  • Ensure patients are comfortable and satisfied with services received related to nursing care.

  • Evaluate processes and procedures related to Nursing Services and make suggestions for process improvement as necessary.

  • Provide excellent customer service by employing active listening techniques, displaying empathy and courtesy, and demonstrating effective communication through proper tone, pace, volume, grammar, and pronunciation,

  • Demonstrate compliance with Mindful Health policies, including HIPAA compliance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Overseeing the medication refill procedures and assuring medication processes are being followed

  • Communicates with the medication aide and acts as the liaison between the physician and medication aide.

  • Strong patient assessment and patient management skills.


Education and Experience:


  • Registered Nurse license for Texas

  • Minimum of six months recent nursing experience; experience within a behavioral health facility/practice, or equivalent, is preferred.

  • Active CPR Certification


Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to alternate between sitting and standing for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to lift, hold, push, and pull 50 pounds.

  • Ability to operate a computer and/or laptop through proficient typing, clicking, and viewing a monitor for extended periods.

  • Ability to view computer monitors with close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust your focus with good hand-eye coordination.

  • Must effectively communicate with patient's/team members/customers and clearly express oneself while exchanging information.

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend through listening.

  • Ability to perform essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.

  • Position may require work at multiple locations during a scheduled work week.

  • Ability to know more about inside the office/client location to support patients.
