Job description

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Safeguards information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.
  2. Protects system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.
  3. Have an understanding and knowledge of cloud cyber security guidelines (NIST).
  4. Responsible for paperwork compliance and review to ensure programs receive authority to proceed (ATO).
  5. Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities, reporting violations.
  6. Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
  7. Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
  8. Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls.
  9. Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports; communicating system status.
  10. Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
  11. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
  12. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security or equivalent education.
  2. Or 3+ years of prior relevant experience.
  3. Preferred Security+, CISSP, or CISM certifications.
  4. Preferred understanding of FedRAMP process.
  5. Preferred customer-centric.
  6. Must be able to complete a security background investigation.
  7. Must be a US Citizen.

DoD Public Trust OR Secret clearance and higher.

Full-Time Exempt.

This position is temporarily remote due to COVID-19, but only for the duration of the COVID-19, and will transition back to a non-remote setting when and if COVID-19 remote is lifted.
