Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support a McLean, VA-based federal civilian agency engagement. The role focuses on RMF A&A activities, developing SSPs, SAPs, SARs, POA&Ms, and continuous monitoring to ensure system authorization.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in RMF/NIST controls, A&A documentation, and hands-on experience with Xacta/Greenlight. A Top-Secret clearance with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity policy, RMF, NIST 800-53 and A&A activities.
• Experience developing A&A documentation from scratch and performing assessments; RMF steps 1–4.
• Familiar with NIST publications and RMF controls.

Responsibilities

• Identify key stakeholders in A&A efforts and ensure system documentation reflects current security configurations.
• Identify potential risks and advise on mitigation strategies.
• Participate in A&A status meetings and facilitate progressing systems toward successful A&A.
• Estimate LOE for A&A activities.
• Assist offices in interpreting and applying mitigation strategies.
• Review vulnerabilities, architecture, and defense-in-depth findings and document in POA&Ms.
• Document residual risks and provide risk analysis results.
• Maintain cybersecurity policy and processes as assigned.
• Apply Federal cybersecurity guidance to customer needs.
• Communicate security posture through designated reporting mechanisms.
• Collaborate with the cybersecurity team.
