Job summary

Amazon’s Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team in West Columbia, SC is expanding with an RMEO role focused on learning basic maintenance for conveyance and material handling equipment. The position emphasizes curiosity and practical problem-solving with minimal prior electrical or mechanical experience.

You will learn to maintain and repair equipment, inspect systems, and support uptime while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

1+ years of Amazon Blue Badge employment experience.
1+ years of technical problem-solving experience.
Knowledge of basic mathematics.
Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Experience with mechanical systems.
Experience with electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Follow safe work practices while performing preventive maintenance checks on a variety of equipment.
Replace spare parts on equipment following standard operation procedures (site dependent).
Use a laptop/tablet for managing work orders.
Use basic workshop tools.
Move up to 49lbs, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways, and perform regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
