Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an RME Operator to join our team in a cutting-edge facility. You’ll learn to maintain and repair conveyance systems, material handling equipment, and site building technologies, exercising safety and problem-solving skills.

No prior electrical or mechanical experience is required, but you will gain hands-on maintenance experience, perform inspections, clear jams, replace parts, and manage work orders using a laptop/tablet in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

  • One year of Blue Badge Amazon experience.
  • Experience with mechanical systems.
  • Experience with electrical systems.
  • Willing to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Technical education in related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance checks on equipment.
  • Replace spare parts following SOPs.
  • Inspect equipment and clear jams.
  • Use laptop/tablet to manage work orders.
  • Operate basic workshop tools while following safety rules.

In collaboration with the technical team, the RMEO helps ensure system uptime through proactive maintenance, monitoring, and strong technical problem-solving skills.The primary focus of this role is to learn and carry out basic maintenance tasks on a wide range of equipment throughout the site. Responsibilities include equipment inspections, clearing jams, replacing parts in accordance with maintenance manuals, and performing testing, all while adhering to safety regulations and policies.Key Responsibilities:You will be following safe work practices while performing preventive maintenance checks on a variety of equipmentYou will replace spare parts on equipment following standard operation procedures (site dependent)You will use a laptop/tablet for managing work ordersYou will use basic workshop toolsBasic Qualifications:One year of experience as a Blue Badge Amazon EmployeeWork a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidaysKnowledge of basic mathematics1+ years of technical problem-solving experienceExperience with mechanical systemsExperience with electrical systemsPreferred qualifications:Technical education in related fieldAssociate degree in Mechatronics, or High School CTE in MechatronicsExperience working on an Amazon Robotics FloorExperience working as an Amazon Amnesty Floor MonitorPhysical Demands:Must have ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, use an aerial lift, and frequently lift a maximum of 50 lbs. of equipment.Ability to perform tasks wearing appropriate or required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which may include but is not limited to hard hat, face mask, face shield, and composite toe shoes.Regularly required to crouch or bend and reach to install/move equipment.Involves movement between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work, averaging 6 to 12 miles per day.Work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures.Regularly required to type on a computer for 1-2 hours per day.Cushman & Wakefield also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life, and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time away from work.
