Job summary

Lord Abbett seeks an Associate Portfolio Manager to support RMBS portfolio management with a focus on non-agency RMBS. You will work with senior PMs and research analysts to implement investment decisions across RMBS mandates, taking on risk-aware responsibilities in a collaborative, team-driven environment.

You will analyze security types, credit risk, interest-rate sensitivity, and market trends, contributing to portfolio construction and alpha generation while communicating insights to senior

Qualifications

5–10 years RMBS research/trading experience
Strong analytical and quantitative skills including duration and convexity
Bachelor’s degree required; CFA or progress toward designation preferred

Responsibilities

Generate RMBS trading recommendations and execute trades
Collaborate with portfolio managers, research analysts, and traders
Monitor portfolio positioning to meet risk objectives across multiple mandates
Perform portfolio simulations and projections including excess and total return forecasts
Communicate investment views and trade rationale to the team
Build and maintain relationships with trading and banking desks
