Responsibilities
Complete designs for upgrades and expansions to municipal wastewater treatment facilities
Prepare design calculations, process flow diagrams and costs estimates for wastewater projects
Conduct technical evaluations of various unit processes and equipment to support planning and design related to wastewater systems
Preparation and review of technical memoranda, engineering reports, presentations, drawings, specifications, and miscellaneous contract documents
Work directly with the owner, designer, project engineers and contractors.
Exceed client expectations for quality, schedule and budget
Facilitate internal and client meetings, workshops and incorporate client feedback into design documents
Demonstrate thorough understanding of QA/QC development and execution process
Demonstrate thorough understanding of contract specifications, standards, etc.
Mentor staff by training employees and supporting personal growth opportunities
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
Five to ten years of demonstrated experience working with a multi-disciplined engineering team to develop construction plans and specifications for unit processes in liquid and solids wastewater treatment
Demonstrated ability to perform hydraulic, mass balance, tank sizing and other wastewater calculations.
Demonstrated ability to complete contract documents for wastewater projects.
Self-motivated, able to successfully deliver projects on time and on budget
Ability to deliver on multiple tasks with competing priorities
Strong interest in wastewater treatment process design
Passion for quality work and client service
