Qualifications

  • Previous experience in marine, housekeeping, or janitorial industry preferred.
  • Mental and physical capability to perform firefighting duties; CPR and Firefighting training required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Report violations of safety regulations.
  • Participate in safety training.
  • Ensure safety equipment and guidelines are followed.
  • Clean and maintain the vessel's interior and exterior.
  • Handle lines and mooring tasks as assigned.
  • Handle lines, adjust winches, operate hydraulic ramps, and mooring tasks.
  • Execute tasks as assigned by the Assistant Captain of the Watch.

Responsibilities
  • Reports to the Assistant Captain of the Watch any violations of USCG regulations, Louisiana Gaming Commission regulations, or unsafe conditions as it pertains to riverboat gaming.
  • Participates in training with the deck crew on emergency procedures, safety, seamanship, and other training.
  • Ensures that safety equipment is provided, and appropriate guidelines are followed for all tasks involving physical risk or hazardous materials.
  • Responsible for the cleaning of the vessel interior and exterior (focus on detail cleaning, trash removal, and detail cleaning of restrooms).
  • Performs various tasks involved in the maintenance and upkeep of vessel and equipment; this includes cleaning.
  • esponsible for line handling, adjustment of winches, use of hydraulic ramps, and other tasks related to mooring of the vessel.
  • Executes tasks as assigned by the Assistant Captain of the Watch.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in marine, housekeeping, or janitorial industry preferred.
  • Ability to perform duties required during emergencies; mentally and physically able to perform all firefighting duties; CPR and Firefighting training required.
  • Must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have knowledge regarding proper use of basic hand tools.
  • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
