Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Tankerman License Verification is required.
• Deckhand 1 Qualification Booklet must be complete and signed off.
• A valid driver’s license is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Will perform basic preventative maintenance for the engine room.
• Complete vessel orientation for the smaller class of vessels.
• Able to safely fuel the motor vessel.
• Maintain decking duties (barge work, making locks and tasks from Vessel Captain).
• Perform general boat maintenance.
• Actively participate in the Marine Structured Safety Process (SSP).
• Assist shore side with vessel outages.
