Moody's Investors Service is offering a Technology Risk Management internship in the United States for Summer 2027. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution of Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) by gathering documentation, organizing evidence, and supporting risk workshops
  • Help maintain risk inventories, risk registers, and control documentation
  • Support risk analysis and identification of emerging technology risks
  • Track open issues, action plans, and remediation activities
  • Assist with monitoring due dates and collecting status updates from stakeholders
  • Support preparation of issue reporting and management dashboards
  • Compile risk metrics, KRIs, and management reports
  • Assist with data collection, validation, and analysis
  • Create presentations and reporting materials for leadership meetings and governance forums
  • Support preparation for risk committee meetings and governance reviews
  • Assist with maintaining policies, standards, procedures, and supporting documentation
  • Help coordinate audit and control assurance requests
  • Assist with AI inventory management and governance activities
  • Research emerging technology and cybersecurity risks
  • Support risk assessments of AI tools, automation solutions, and emerging technologies
  • Assist with vendor risk assessment documentation and due diligence activities
  • Support monitoring and reporting of third-party risk activities
  • Participate in strategic initiatives involving technology governance, controls, risk management, regulatory compliance, asset management, and process improvement

About the Team

The Technology Risk Management Intern will support the Technology Risk Management team in executing first-line risk management activities across Technology Services. This role offers hands-on experience in technology risk, governance, cybersecurity risk, operational risk, internal controls, audit support, and emerging risk disciplines such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) Governance. The intern will work alongside experienced risk professionals and gain exposure to how risk is identified, assessed, managed, reported, and governed within a global financial services organization. This position is well suited for students interested in technology, cybersecurity, risk management, audit, compliance, data analytics, or financial services.

Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands‑on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight. The program takes place each summer from June - August. Internships are full‑time, offering a comprehensive view of Moody’s business and culture, and a chance to build professional and technical skills. Programmatic elements include networking, mentorship, leadership speaker series and volunteering events. Interns complete project work determined by their team that have real impact, fostering a sense of accomplishment and professional growth. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring hourly rate for this position is $35, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location.
