Job summary

First Horizon Bank, headquartered in Memphis, TN, seeks a sanctions/compliance professional to review OFAC matches in real-time and in-process transactions, ensuring adherence to sanctions regulations and regulatory expectations. You will assist with testing, document gathering for audits, and support management with routine activities.

Role requires a high school diploma or GED and 0-4 years of banking experience; familiarity with Microsoft Office is expected.

Responsibilities

• Review and disposition OFAC matches on real-time or in-process transactions.
• Identify transactions that could be Blocked or Rejected due to sanctions.
• Conduct internet research and gather documentation to support disposition of OFAC matches.
• Read, analyze, and apply sanctions regulations to ensure compliance.
• Assist with sanction screening system testing for new products and upgrades.
• Make decisions on actions requiring further investigation.
• Support management with daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
• Assist in exams/audits by providing data to regulators and auditors.

Summary

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and disposition potential Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) matches on real-time or in-process transactions.
• Identify transactions that have the potential to be Blocked or Rejected due to sanctions.
• Conduct internet research and obtain relevant documentation to support disposition of potential OFAC matches.
• Read, analyze, interpret, and apply sanctions regulations to ensure the Bank remains in compliance.
• Assist with sanction screening system testing for implementation of new products / services and system upgrades.
• Make decisions on appropriate action to take regarding the need for further investigation.
• Support management teams, ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly activities are completed on time.
• Participate in exams/audits by assisting in gathering of data for federal regulators, state examiners, independent auditors, and law enforcement.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
