Job summary

Morongo Band of Mission Indians is seeking a Safety Officer tasked with supporting the Director in maintaining and facilitating safety programs to protect employees, guests, and company assets at Tribal Enterprises and Administration Departments.

You will handle risk prevention, reporting, records maintenance, and coordination of emergency procedures. The role includes auditing Food & Beverage outlets and analyzing accident reports to improve safety outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; degree in accounting, law, HR, business administration or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience providing necessary background).
• Valid driver''s license and insurable per company policy.
• Ability to obtain a NIGC key license.
• Basic operation of a workstation and office equipment; ability to manage multiple usernames and passwords; problem-solving with available trainings/helpdesk.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and internet software; proper electronic file storage.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director in maintaining/facilitating safety programs to protect employees, guests and the company; maintain safe working conditions.
• Engage in risk prevention in areas of hazardous materials exposure, accidents, fire or other unsafe conditions.
• Assist organization with federal/state reporting requirements.
• Maintain records and prepare reports necessary for casino/hotel operations; prepare reports and correspondence as required.
• Prepare and maintain accurate files of safety-related issues and records.
• Assist Director in overseeing emergency, fire and safety evacuation procedures.
• Serve as the primary auditor for Food and Beverage outlets.
• Review and evaluate work-related accident reports for clarity of data; analyze data as needed.

Requirements
