Your role involves helping the firm grow responsibly by anticipating risks and applying your judgment to solve challenges affecting our company, customers, and communities. Our culture encourages innovative thinking, challenging the status quo, and striving for excellence.

In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse team to deliver credit solutions for various needs, including working capital, corporate purposes, acquisition finance, and dividend recapitalizations. You will also monitor and manage the risk of an assigned portfolio, working closely with underwriting to structure transactions that balance risk and reward.

This position supports the Healthcare Services and Life Sciences verticals, covering companies with revenues generally between $20 million and $500 million. Clients are active in traditional banking and investment banking, and the sector offers high-volume, fast-paced opportunities in a growing market segment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Underwrite and structure transactions using excellent credit analysis and financial modeling skills, managing the credit portfolio independently.
  • Formulate independent views, articulate opinions clearly, and defend positions with partners and leadership.
  • Lead complex transactions, including negotiations and legal documentation.
  • Collaborate proactively with internal and external parties to facilitate transaction progress.
  • Drive execution with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Develop strong client relationships, serving as an expert on structuring and credit policy.
  • Mentor team members, participate in projects, and contribute to organizational improvements.
  • Communicate effectively internally and externally to solve problems.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • BA/BS/BBA degree required.
  • Experience in credit training or corporate banking/finance, with a thorough understanding of bank credit policies.
  • At least 5 years of commercial banking/lending experience, including credit analysis and loan documentation.
  • Strong financial modeling, accounting, and finance knowledge.
  • Proficiency in credit agreements, negotiation, and relationship building.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities under tight deadlines and work independently.
