Risk Management Associate – Risk Strategies. This remote vacancy is located in Remote, United States. Requires at least a Bachelor Degree.

Responsibilities

While performing the duties reflected below, which consist of exercising independent judgment and discretion over administrative functions within the insurance brokerage space as the position floats across various corporate/business units, our Risk Management Associate position is eligible to participate in the Insurance Professional Development Program (IPDP), a program aimed at enhancing insurance acumen and developing you for future opportunities within our insurance brokerage. As an IPDP eligible position, you will work on business-specific projects to grow knowledge and experience to supplement and strengthen insurance industry skills. Primary responsibilities and duties may vary depending upon the assigned rotating department.

  • Building and maintaining constructive and effective relationships with internal and external customers by meeting and exceeding expectations
  • Leveraging insurance knowledge and expertise to actively service existing accounts and develop new business opportunities
  • Fostering an environment of personal accountability by managing system records of service, marketing, and policy communications with clients and carriers in applicable management systems
  • Nurturing professional relationships through client meetings and consistent client contact
  • Participating in the retention of renewal business; interacting with producers to prepare specifications, applications, underwriting data and related information in the marketing of insurance products
  • Ensuring the client has continuous and proper coverage and advising the client of any recommendations within a mutually established timeline
  • Reviewing current policies and providing recommendations regarding placement options; utilizing coverage checklists and a network of industry contacts to determine appropriate coverage and premiums
  • Supporting the implementation of new lines of coverage by setting up accounts, collecting needed documentation, and reviewing plan details with client and carrier
  • Executing coverage analysis as needed and providing the client with accurate quotations for any additional coverage

On average, less than 50% of time will entail IPDP skills training, which consists of a blended, cohort-based, hands-on program combining instructor-led and virtual learning, utilizing both internal and external resources, self-paced study, and mentorship.

  • Year 1 IPDP focuses on building upon existing insurance experience, industry fundamentals, and skill-building; generally, at the end of Year 1, individuals elect to focus on a Producer or Account Manager path
  • Year 2 IPDP entails continued rotations, client interactions, skill building, and job shadowing with more senior team members
  • Year 3 IPDP consists of continued job shadowing/role apprenticeship with more senior members and identifying areas for future promotion
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • Graduate from the RSC internship program preferred but must have at least 3 months of experience in the insurance industry
  • GPA 3.0 or higher (Transcript required prior to interview)

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay is part of the total compensation package, which includes a comprehensive suite of benefits such as medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement savings, paid time off, and paid holidays for eligible employees. The total compensation may include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range is between $50,000 - $70,000; actual base pay offered may vary based on location, education, knowledge, skills, and experience.
