What you will be doing as an Asset Protection Risk Intelligence Intern:
Building the analytical foundation for how Meijer identifies retail crime and fraud risk before loss occurs. Asset Protection receives signals from a wide range of technologies — and today those signals are largely reviewed independently rather than through a single risk lens. This role brings them together. Work includes profiling and joining data across platforms, defining with investigators what a credible early risk indicator actually looks like, building a working prototype that surfaces stores, markets, or offenders showing converging signals, and validating those findings against closed cases. The intern will also develop the measurement framework that shows what prevented loss is worth.
