Job summary

Newt Global is seeking a Product Owner focused on Risk Management with AI experience to drive the product vision and prioritize work across Scrum teams. You will own the backlog, refine requirements with stakeholders, and shape the roadmap to maximize business value.

You will lead functional design, collaborate with technology teams for estimation, and participate in testing and release activities to ensure successful delivery. Strong risk knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with customer-centric mindset to focus on client needs.
• 7 years in agile culture with 5 years as lead Product Owner in banking domain.
• Ability to prioritise items maximizing business value with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision making.
• Analytical skills to synthesize findings.
• Proven track record delivering products within deadlines.
• Experience facilitating collaborative sessions and aligning with enterprise goals.
• Expertise with Atlassian MS Teams or similar agile tooling.
• Advanced Product Owner certifications.

Responsibilities

• Own the product value stream vision and align teams to strategic outcomes.
• Inspire teams to deliver against goals.
• Lead functional design and create product roadmap based on user and tech knowledge.
• Refine priorities, milestones, deliverables, and risks in agile environment.
• Create features and backlog prioritized to maximize business value.
• Facilitate backlog decomposition and define acceptance criteria for sprints.
• Partner with tech to break down large stories and enable estimation.
• Participate in testing and release support processes.
• Accept work before release to production.
• Track post-launch performance and inform future investments.
• Develop feedback loops and use OKRs to align team efforts.
• Represent Product in Scrum events and align with vision.
• Demonstrate strong risk domain understanding, preferably operational risk.
