Job summary

Elevance Health is offering a Risk, Controls, and Assurance Intern position for Summer 2027. The role collaborates with the audit team to test internal controls over financial reporting and regulatory compliance, aligned with GAAP, SOX, MAR, and SOC1.

This in-office hybrid internship runs May–December 2027, 40 hours per week, with locations including Indianapolis and other nearby offices. You will document control testing results, support engagement planning, assess risk across financial and IT

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or related field.
The ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship and in-office at least once per week.

Responsibilities

Create and document results of control testing and review.
Provide research support, develop work programs, engagement plans and collaborate with audit team members.
Assess risk of financial processes, operational processes, and supporting IT systems.
Document business processes dependent on financial data systems.
Analyze results of specific or general work requests.
Have direct contact with external audit firms for audit planning and remediation.
