Job summary

Metis is seeking a Risk Control Consultant to join our Risk Control Team. Located in Virginia or West Virginia, this full-time role focuses on evaluating client loss exposures and recommending risk management practices. You will develop training, conduct safety assessments, and prepare detailed reports.

Travel within Virginia and/or West Virginia may be required. A two-year+ background in risk management and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of experience in risk management, safety, or a related field.
• Strong public speaking, communication, and computer skills required.
• GSP, ASP, CSP, OSHA, or ARM designation(s) or ability to obtain, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate client loss exposures and recommend appropriate risk management practices.
• Develop and conduct training and seminars.
• Conduct facility safety assessments focused on potential workers’ compensation, general liability, and fire safety risks.
• Prepare detailed safety assessment reports.

Metis is searching for a Risk Control Consultant to join our Risk Control Team!

Metis/Risk Management Programs is a Roanoke-owned and operated company that provides third-party administrative services for self-insurance risk pools, along with operational support and other innovative solutions for Metis subsidiaries. Salary Range: $48,000.00 To $65,000.00 Annually

What You’ll Do:

• Evaluate client loss exposures and potential risk factors and recommend appropriate risk management practices.
• Develop and conduct training and seminars.
• Conduct facility safety assessments focused on potential workers’ compensation, general liability, and fire safety risks.
• Prepare detailed safety assessment reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

Expected Salary Range: $48,000 - $65,000 annually, depending on education, certifications, location, and experience.
