Job summary

Monetary Metals seeks a Risk Officer to support the Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel in building a Risk Department with a focus on AML/KYC and regulatory compliance. You will assist with legal documentation and calendar management.

You will lead onboarding and due diligence for clients and counterparties, maintain compliance records, and coordinate document execution workflows across teams, reporting to the Chief Risk Officer.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of legal/paralegal experience preferred.
• AML/KYC, compliance, legal administration, financial services, or similar compliance experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft 365 suite, and document management systems.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and due diligence for clients and counterparties, including compliance requirements for vendors and partners.
• Maintain compliance records and support legal documentation, contract administration, and calendaring while handling sensitive information with discretion.
• Assist with AML/KYC onboarding, due diligence reviews, and ongoing customer monitoring.
• Collect, organize, and maintain customer identification and compliance documentation in coordination with our Relationship Management team.
• Track regulatory filings, compliance certifications, and record retention requirements.
• Prepare, review, and maintain legal documents, including NDAs and a wide variety of standard contracts.
• Manage legal and compliance document repositories and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
• Conduct preliminary research on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.
• Coordinate signatures, approvals, and document execution workflows.
• Monitor outstanding compliance items and follow up with internal teams and external parties.
• Support audits, examinations, and compliance reviews by gathering requested documentation.
