Job summary

Rush Street Interactive is seeking a Risk & Payments Analyst in the United States to help protect the business while ensuring a seamless customer experience across payments, fraud prevention, and KYC processes.

You will collaborate with internal teams to identify risks, optimize payment workflows, and improve operational efficiency, taking ownership and delivering measurable impact in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in payments, fraud, risk, compliance, or operations (iGaming or fintech preferred).
• Strong understanding of payment methods, chargebacks, and fraud detection principles.
• Familiarity with KYC/AML processes and regulatory environments is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns and assess risk.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in tools such as Excel and reporting platforms (e.g., Looker or similar).
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Review and process withdrawals and customer documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Conduct KYC verification, including review, approval, or rejection of customer-submitted documents.
• Monitor player activity to identify, investigate, and escalated potential fraud or suspicious behavior.
• Respond to escalated customer inquiries related to payments, fraud, and account activity.
• Support Customer Support and other teams with payment-related questions and issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate records and logs in accordance with jurisdictional and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, SOPs, and all applicable regulatory standards.
• Identify trends, risks, and process gaps, and provide feedback to leadership and product teams.
• Collaborate with team members to support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Escalate complex or high-risk issues to management in a timely manner.

As a fast-growing company in a highly regulated and evolving industry, we are expanding our Risk & Payments team and looking for a driven, analytical Risk & Payments Analyst to help scale our operations.

In this role, you will play a critical part in protecting the business while ensuring a seamless customer experience. You’ll work across payments, fraud prevention, and KYC processes, partnering closely with internal teams to identify risks, execute payment workflows, and enhance operational efficiency. This role spans a wide breadth of experience at Rush Street Interactive, welcoming candidates with diverse experiences, backgrounds, and locations. The pay range reflects potential variations in experience, skills, and location. The pay range does not reflect total compensation, which includes base pay, benefits, and/or bonuses. For candidates outside the US (Canada, Europe, Latin America), we take a locally informed approach to compensation and will share specific ranges based on your country of residence.
