Job summary

Garda Capital Partners in New York seeks a Software Engineer to join the Risk team within the Research & Technology group. You will design and build risk analytics, exposure monitoring, and reporting infrastructure for fixed‑income portfolios, using C# and Python.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of OO development in C# and Python, experience with Docker/Kubernetes, and familiarity with SQL databases. This role offers competitive base pay and comprehensive benefits in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Finance.
• 4+ years of object‑oriented development using C# and Python.
• 4+ years of relational database, SQL, and ORM experience (Oracle / Postgres preferred).
• Experience with the Python scientific stack (NumPy, pandas, SciPy, Polars, DuckDB, etc.).
• Familiarity with Parquet files for data manipulation.
• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with risk analytics and fixed income instruments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop risk management systems and analytics tools used by risk managers.
• Build and maintain services in C# and Python across the stack.
• Use gRPC microservices in the core service layer.
• Leverage Python scientific stack to develop risk models and analytics.
• Work with Parquet files for data manipulation.
