Job summary

Independence Blue Cross is seeking a Risk Analytics Co-op to support ACA and Medicare risk adjustment initiatives. You will analyze healthcare data, build dashboards, and automate processes using SQL, Python, and Tableau.

You will gain exposure to industry-leading tools within a collaborative team, contributing to operational and financial decision-making while developing technical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Analytical and problem-solving skills with large datasets.
• Experience with data extraction, transformation, validation, and reporting.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience using AI tools to automate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ACA EDGE server submission operations and support data validation & reporting.
• Assist RADV audit activities including sample tracking & chart collection.
• Retrieve reports from vendor portals and organize records.
• Prepare, rename, batch, transmit, and reconcile medical records for auditors.
• Use SQL, Python, Excel, Tableau to extract, transform, validate, and analyze data.
• Develop and maintain RADV dashboards, weekly status reports, and leadership briefings.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate resolution with stakeholders and vendors.
• Create process docs, workflows, and SOPs to support knowledge transfer.
• Translate metrics into actionable insights for decision-making.
• Support process improvements and automation to boost efficiency.
