Base pay range

$65.00/hr - $80.00/hr

Swoon is hiring for our financial infrastructure and technology client in Mountain View, CA but is a fully remote opportunity.

This will be an 11-month contract to start with Benefits - Health, Dental & Vision (50% off premium for contractor).

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Evasion Risk and Compliance Specialist to join our team. This position focuses on designing and implementing controls to detect and mitigate tax evasion risks, including those linked to anti-money laundering laws. The ideal candidate will play a key role in assessing tax evasion risks and enhancing compliance processes related to emerging crypto reporting regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement controls to detect and mitigate tax evasion risks, with a focus on tax evasion as a predicate act for money laundering.
• Conduct comprehensive tax evasion risk assessments and provide actionable recommendations.
• Enhance Know Your Customer (KYC) processes to align with recent IRS crypto reporting regulations and OECD's Crypto Asset Reporting Framework (CARF), including adaptation to non-US jurisdictions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in designing and implementing controls for detecting and mitigating tax evasion risks.
• Expertise in conducting tax evasion risk assessments with a thorough understanding of applicable methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of tax evasion-related regulations, including anti-money laundering laws that address tax evasion as a predicate offense.
