Job summary

Sprague, based in Portsmouth, NH, seeks an Associate Risk Analyst to handle daily mark‑to‑market for the RP Supply portfolio, process RP PnL, and reconcile positions with traders and accounting. The role requires an accounting/finance background with strong Excel skills and VBA proficiency, supporting the Nat Gas Middle Office when needed.

The position is hybrid with three in‑office days at Portsmouth. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of relevant experience, energy industry exposure is a plus,

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance with 2–4 years of relevant business experience.
• Strong computer literacy and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, track and report Refined Products Supply positions and mark to market daily.
• Liaise between traders and accounting to resolve position data discrepancies.
• Update trading system reference data in RightAngle (ETRM).
• Monitor/report compliance with Risk Limits for Refined Products daily.
• Support month‑end accounting close.
• Collaborate with the Director, Middle Office on risk monitoring.
