Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and driven Risk Analyst II to lead the modernization of risk processes and automation initiatives. This role is well suited to an analyst who has established a technical foundation and is ready to own delivery end-to-end while working with cross-functional teams across risk, finance, and data.

In this role, you will partner with the Risk team to design and build scalable, role-based data products and systems that enable self-service reporting and enhanced decision-making. Responsibilities include architecting custom solutions to support predictive analytics and serving both routine and specialized use cases within the Risk Finance domain.

Essential Job Functions
  • Design and develop data pipelines and structured databases that meet key business requirements, from initial scoping through production deployment.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for IT, finance, and business partners to deliver automated solutions that integrate seamlessly into existing systems.
  • Define and document business objectives, project success criteria, and risk mitigation strategies for database and tool development.
  • Translate ambiguous business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements for databases, automation tools, and reporting dashboards.
  • Assess current data sources and recommend the structure and scope of future-state systems.
  • Lead data validation efforts, resolve inconsistencies, and drive data quality improvements.
  • Own testing, rollout, and end-user enablement for new tools, including documentation and training.
  • Provide technical guidance and code review support to junior analysts and rotational staff.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, computer science, statistics, or a related discipline)
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in analytics, data engineering, or a related function
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, plus working proficiency in JavaScript
  • Demonstrated experience delivering analytical or automation projects with limited oversight
  • Analytical, resourceful, and proactive in approaching complex problem-solving
  • Strong communication and organization skills, including the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders
