Risk/Actuarial Analyst I – Property Insurance | Remote (U.S.)

Actuarial Innovation | Complex Risk Analysis | Fully Remote with Occasional Travel

Join a team dedicated to transforming the insurance experience for millions. We’re looking for an experienced Actuarial Analyst I to support pricing and forecasting within our personal lines products, with a focus on innovation, risk modeling, and solving unstructured problems using advanced analytical tools.

This is a remote-first role open to professionals across the continental U.S., with minimal travel required for collaboration and training.

What You'll Do:

  • Apply actuarial modeling techniques and statistical methods to unstructured and complex projects, such as pricing, reserving, and catastrophe modeling.
  • Translate business challenges into technical solutions using Python, R, SQL, and other analytical platforms.
  • Support model development and validation for new rating variables, pricing structures, and property risk indicators.
  • Use predictive modeling to provide data-driven insights that improve profitability and customer outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure your work aligns with strategic goals and complies with risk standards.
  • Present technical findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience (4+ years in actuarial, analytics, or related field).
  • 4+ years of actuarial or analytical experience.
  • Progress toward ACAS with no more than 2 exams remaining, plus completion of VEEs.
  • Strong hands-on experience with data tools such as Python, SQL, R, SAS, or business intelligence platforms.
  • Excellent ability to communicate technical content clearly to both actuaries and non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Prior experience in property insurance pricing, especially personal lines.
  • Involvement in launching new insurance products or rating strategies.
  • Familiarity with tools like Earnix or other pricing optimization platforms.
  • Military background or connection (veteran, spouse, or domestic partner).

Compensation: $103,450 – $197,730, based on experience and geographic location. Additional incentives may apply based on performance.
