Job summary

Schneider Downs is seeking a Risk Advisory Staff to join our Risk Advisory Services practice, a key part of our consulting group. You’ll contribute to internal audit, risk assessment, process improvement, and compliance engagements across diverse industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting.
• Public accounting or relevant experience.
• Interest in obtaining CPA, CIA or other certificate in risk and/or analytics.
• Balance of academic excellence, interpersonal skills and leadership ability.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to management.
• Ability to constantly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality professional day-to-day execution of internal audit/risk advisory engagements and special projects.
• Work as part of the engagement team focusing on executing and documenting compliance or advisory projects.
• Support a variety of clients within the public and private sectors, and assist the team in preparing internal audit reports.
• Participate in department initiatives related to innovation, knowledge sharing, and analytics.
• Proactively interact with client’s key management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
• Become a trusted advisor to our clients to help them be successful.

Our growing Risk Advisory Services practice, a specialty area within our Consulting group, provides enterprise risk management, internal audit outsourcing and co-sourcing, business process optimization, SOC, compliance and control assurance, and Sarbanes‑Oxley services to clients in various industries. As a Risk Advisory Staff, you will work as a member of the engagement team and will be responsible for a variety of assigned projects that assist with the completion of the engagements including risk assessment, process improvement, control evaluation, and compliance. What You’ll Need

• Interest in obtaining CPA, CIA or other certificate in risk and/or analytics

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to management
• The ability to constantly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
