Job summary

Buchalter is seeking an experienced estate planning attorney to advise high-net-worth individuals, private foundations and family offices on multi-generational wealth planning and tax optimization. You will draft complex estate plans, trusts, and charitable gift agreements, and manage client relationships with senior supervision.

Role requires independent drafting across a wide range of estate planning documents and collaboration with outside advisors to implement strategic wealth transfer

Qualifications

• Draft complex estate plans and trust documents.
• Advise high-net-worth individuals, private foundations and family offices.
• Manage client relationships and projects.
• Coordinate with outside advisors and the senior supervising partner.
• Structure wealth transfer strategies including dynasty trusts and grantor retained annuity trusts.
• Advising on community vs separate property and related agreements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft complex estate plans, charitable gift agreements and trust structures tailored to clients.
• Counsel fiduciaries on post-death and ongoing trust administration.
• Advise on tax optimization strategies and multi-generational wealth planning.
• Serve as liaison with advisors and senior supervising partner.
• Lead large-scale planning projects with clients and external advisors.
