Job summary

Astrion seeks a Junior Aerospace Engineer to provide SETA support at Los Angeles Air Force Base. In-person/hybrid role with occasional travel, active Top Secret clearance preferred. You will contribute to space system development, testing, and sustainment across OPIR and mission-support domains.

The position covers requirements management, system integration, and rigorous engineering analysis, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and interface with government and industry partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, systems, electrical or mechanical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of aerospace/space systems, defense acquisition, or systems engineering experience.
• Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Experience with requirements management and systems integration.
• Strong technical writing, briefing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level aerospace systems engineering and technical advisory support across the full acquisition lifecycle.
• Support requirements development, decomposition, validation, verification, and configuration control.
• Conduct system-of-systems engineering and integration across space, ground, launch, and mission-support segments.
• Support architecture development using MBSE and Digital Engineering concepts.
• Develop and maintain schedules, risk registers, and performance baselines.
• Prepare executive briefings, assessment reports, and acquisition documentation.
