Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a Football assistant coach at Heritage High School for the Fall season (August–November). You will work with the head athletic coach to run a structured program and represent the school with pride.

Responsibilities include attending staff meetings, assisting with equipment, promoting sportsmanship, supporting disciplinary actions, and collaborating with the athletic department.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience or participation in the sport at high school/college level is required.
• CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in such training is required.
• Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full‑time classified employee status for Loudoun County Public Schools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with the head athletic coach to operate a well-structured program.
• Work cooperatively with the athletic department.
• Attend all staff meetings prescribed by the head athletic coach during the season.
• Carry out specific duties designated by the head athletic coach.
• Recommend equipment and supplies needed for the program.
• Recommend disciplinary actions regarding players violating rules.
• Foster sportsmanship, pride for the school and community among athletes.
• Perform other duties as requested by the high school principal or athletic director.
