Qualifications

• JD degree and active admission to the New York or California Bar.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in business affairs, entertainment law, transactional practice, or related field.
• Working knowledge of entertainment contracts, deal structures, and industry practices.
• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, and issue-spotting skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and strong project management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in developing a career in entertainment business affairs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract management or document systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in review and analysis of talent agreements across film, TV, streaming, digital media, endorsements, and licensing.
• Draft, revise, and organize deal memos, short-form and long-form contracts, amendments, and related docs.
• Support senior business affairs executives in deal negotiations and contract administration.
• Conduct legal and business research related to compensation, rights ownership, and union requirements.
• Identify potential legal, financial, and business risks within agreements and escalate as needed.
• Coordinate with agents, attorneys, clients, and internal stakeholders to facilitate deal review and execution.
• Track contract status, key terms, obligations, and deadlines throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with SAG-AFTRA, WGA, DGA and other guild/union requirements.
• Maintain accurate contract records and support reporting/documentation initiatives.
• Stay informed on industry trends, deal structures, and market developments.
