This role serves as the administrative backbone of right-of-way projects by ensuring accurate records, effective communication, and timely coordination of all project activities. This opportunity entails providing administrative, operational, and project support for right-of-way acquisition and infrastructure development projects, supporting project and client staff by performing a variety of right-of-way project-related coordination. The coordinator will maintain discipline-specific progress tracking to help client meet milestone goals, prepare, review for completeness and accuracy, and process project-related correspondence, reports, agreements, and documentation, and maintain client database systems with project data. Coordinates tasks and works closely with the project team to assist in multiple disciplines across the right-of-way projects and may on occasion perform site visits and field/respond to inquiries from the public. The coordinator may assist with administrative project functions throughout the project lifecycle from discovery and planning to delivery and close out phases.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepares and maintains project plans, tracks project progress, and prepares reports for clients or project stakeholders including evaluation scores, and deliverable tracking of submittals and reviews.
  • Monitors and evaluates project timeline and activity and delivers updates to protect team.
  • Assists in the management, maintenance, and distribution of project schedules in applicable software.
  • Monitors, tracks, and files large amounts of project documentation.
  • Uploads and downloads deliverable documents to and from client systems.
  • Copies and/or scans project-related documents and coordinates the distribution to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supports the project and/or office quality plan and quality management system by documenting the performance of management and quality control reviews.
  • Generates and updates the relevant QA/QC documentation and assists with the development and maintenance of the project filing structure.
  • Coordinates project meetings including calendar scheduling, preparing or creating materials, publishing minutes, and maintaining documentation.
  • Communicates basic issues, problems, or additional information to project managers and project stakeholders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need

Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or In lieu of education, 4 years of relevant experience

Experience supporting right-of-way, utility, energy, telecommunications, transportation, or construction projects Familiarity with easements, title research, permitting, land acquisition, or property records. Strong attention to detail and ability to work both collaboratively and independently Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work appropriately

Locations: Chicago, IL, Schaumburg, IL (IL DOT)

The approximate pay range for Illinois is $27.97 - $41.96. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position based on all selected locations within the state at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
