Job summary

Contract Land Staff in the United States seeks an experienced Right of Way Agent for field investigations to support land acquisitions, permits, crop data, and route assessments, working largely on-site in Virginia.

The role involves negotiating with landowners, analyzing appraisals, preparing reports, and assisting in possible litigation support. A degree or two years of college plus 1–3+ years of Right of Way experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of Right of Way experience.
• Willing to work on-site in South-Central Virginia.
• Experience interpreting documents and data related to land rights.

Responsibilities

• Contact landowners to acquire property rights and settle claims.
• Analyze property appraisals and advise the client on acquisition.
• Represent the client in negotiations with owners and attorneys.
• Prepare reports and assist in land-rights litigation support when needed.
• Inspect routes to identify potential issues and timelines.
