Are you passionate about building meaningful client relationships, unlocking new opportunities, and driving results in a dynamic, high-growth industry? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your contributions directly fuel company success? If so, ORC has the perfect opportunity for you to make a meaningful impact. At ORC (O. R. Colan Associates), we’ve been paving the way in the Right of Way (ROW) industry for over 50 years. We partner with infrastructure, utilities, and public sector clients to bring ambitious projects to life, and we’re expanding our Business Development team to fuel even greater success.

We’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) who is a natural connector, communicator, and innovator. This role is tactical and execution-focused, giving you the opportunity to engage directly with clients, manage key relationships, and convert opportunities into meaningful wins. If you’re an industry-savvy sales or business development professional with proven expertise in customer relationships, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do as a BDR:

  • Build Relationships: Engage with clients as the face of ORC to foster long-term partnerships and secure contracts.
  • Drive Results: Promote sales, identify new opportunities, and manage the pipeline of potential projects in the ROW industry.
  • Own the CRM: Leverage technology to track, analyze, and report on client activity, ensuring data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with marketing and proposal teams to create winning strategies that lead to big project wins.
  • Be the Connector: Represent ORC at industry events and conferences, expanding our presence and reputation in the market.
  • Travel with Purpose: You’ll spend at least 50% of your time traveling, building relationships, and representing ORC at key events.

What You Bring:

Experience That Matters (minimum requirements):

  • 5+ years in the ROW, civil engineering, energy, or construction industries.
  • 2+ years in sales or business development, with a proven track record of securing contracts and building long-term client relationships.
  • B2B Sales Mastery: Skilled in executing market plans, pricing strategies, and staging proposals.
  • CRM expertise with the ability to analyze data and report on sales metrics.
  • Experience collaborating in the proposal process to deliver winning results.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive Base Salary: $90,000 - $120,000, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Performance-Driven Incentives: A strong commission structure designed to reward your success in client acquisition and sales growth.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan and disability.
  • Paid time off and holidays.
  • Access to professional and leadership development resources through ORC Academy.
