Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks skilled Riggers for a project in St. Francisville, LA. Hired candidates will join an on-site team responsible for precise rigging, crane coordination, and safe material handling on industrial facilities.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety procedures, readiness to travel as needed, and collaboration with crane operators to move loads efficiently while maintaining strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Complete all safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and customer safety and quality processes at all times.

Responsibilities

• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to load weight and size.
• Attach pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts and clamps.
• Attach load with grappling devices to crane hook.
• Give directions to Crane Operator during hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety, using signals or comms.
• Set up, brace, and rig hoisting equipment with tools.
• Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.
• Coordinate movement of equipment according to signals and directions.
• Rate information using measurable standards.
• Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Significant travel may be required.
• Performs other duties as required.
