Job summary

M.C. Dean is hiring a Rigger for our Modular Mission Critical manufacturing campus just north of Richmond, VA. The role involves setting up and operating rigging for heavy equipment, inspecting gear, and maintaining safety standards while coordinating with the rigging and construction team.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years in rigging, OSHA familiarity, and ideally NCCCO Level 1 certification. Strong physical fitness and ability to work outdoors are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment and heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting and preparing loads for movement.
  • Set up, align, and level heavy equipment machinery.
  • Select appropriate rigging gear and inspect before use.
  • Maneuver loads using rigging and heavy equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and communicate with team.
  • Coordinate signals and directions for hoists and movements.
  • Break down rigging equipment and perform post-rigging inspections.
