Associated Controls + Design is seeking a Rigging Inspector to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves on-site rigging inspections, reporting, and collaboration with sales and project management to support installation projects.
You will read and interpret drawings, provide design input, and help expand our inspection and maintenance services. Travel up to 75% is required; a strong safety mindset is essential.

Associated Controls + Design, a full service theatrical and entertainment systems integrator, is looking for a Rigging Inspector to join our team. Safely hanging battens shouldn't be a pipe dream. This team member will truly raise the bar when it comes to professional knowledge and experience. This position will be responsible for supporting the sales, project management, and installation teams, performing rigging and stage equipment inspections, writing up reports and recommendations, and helping build our service portfolio. This position requires a strong understanding of theatrical rigging and stage equipment systems, entertainment-specific building codes, applicable ANSI standards, building plans, and specifications. Minimum 5 years of stage rigging experience (lighting and/or AV systems experience a plus).
High School Diploma or equivalent.
ETCP Theatre Certified Rigger (or qualifications to get certified within 6 months of hire)
Experience with standard office software (MS Office, Acrobat/Bluebeam), Vectorworks or AutoCAD.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a safety mindset.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work at heights on ladders, lifts, and stage grids.
A valid driver’s license, and flexibility for travel (up to 75%).
Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends.
Experience in motorized hoist and automation systems.
Experience in integrating rigging with other performance systems.
