Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks Rigging Helpers to work out of our Raleigh, NC office on various jobsites in the surrounding area. Must be willing to travel.

Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3 months. The role involves assisting in rigging setup, coordinating with crane operators, inspecting gear, and adhering to safety procedures while supporting team operations on site.

Qualifications

• Written and verbal communication skills required.
• Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

Responsibilities

• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves to move loads safely.
• Attach pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts and clamps.
• Attach load with grappling devices to crane hook and guide hoisting.
• Give directions to Crane Operator to ensure safety using signals or radio.
• Set up and rig hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches.
• Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.
• Coordinate movement of equipment according to signals and directions.
• Rate information using measurable standards.
• Detect and respond to dangerous conditions.
• Regular attendance; significant travel may be required.
