Job summary

Zeeco is seeking a Rigging and Equipment Operator to safely move, rig, and transport fabricated equipment within the shop and yard. The role requires expertise in rigging, crane operation, forklift use, load calculations, and industrial material handling to support production and shipping.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial rigging and heavy equipment movement.
• Experience operating forklifts, cranes, and commercial trucks/trailers.
• Ability to determine load weights and select proper rigging configurations.
• Knowledge of safe lifting and transportation procedures.
• Ability to read and understand load charts, rigging capacities, and shipping requirements.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Move equipment and fabricated units throughout the shop and yard.
• Secure and bind units to trailers for transportation within the facility and yard.
• Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment to position units for fabrication, staging, and shipment.
• Calculate, determine, and verify load weights prior to lifting activities.
• Select appropriate rigging equipment and safely rig loads for lifting and transportation.
• Perform heavy lifting operations involving loads ranging from approximately 100 pounds to 200,000 pounds using approved lifting equipment and procedures.
• Coordinate with forklift operators, crane operators, fabrication personnel, and logistics teams during loading and unloading activities.
• Operate semi-trucks, trailers, forklifts, and cranes in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maneuver trucks and trailers in restricted spaces within the shop and yard.
• Conduct pre-use inspections on equipment and report maintenance concerns.
• Follow all company, OSHA, and safety requirements related to lifting, rigging, transportation, and material handling.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
