Position Summary
Plan, layout, and install all necessary rigging components for lifting and installing equipment, machinery, pipe, steel, etc., in accordance with all plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Set up and rig large-scale heavy equipment.
- Position, align, or level machines, equipment, and structures.
- Perform shakeout of items to be installed into erectable sequence and rigging for crane hoisting, using proper signals.
- Guide rigged items into position using a tag line.
- Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, and determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed.
- Inspect subordinate’s work for compliance, identify deficiencies, and take corrective actions.
- Select rigging components and develop rigging procedures for load handling.
- Identify suitable rigging points and select rated rigging based on tension.
- Maintain understanding of LHE dynamics and hazards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and communicate effectively.
- Proficient in safe use of electrical, hand, power, and measurement tools.
Requirements
- Ability to move about a construction site, including standing, walking, kneeling, and crawling.
- Work in outdoor weather conditions and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Use ladders, scaffolds, and mechanical platforms safely.
- Work in confined, cluttered, and uneven environments.
- Lift items up to 50 pounds.
- Possess required tools and possibly a U.S. Driver's License.
- NCCER Advanced Certification required.
- Follow safety and project rules and pass drug/alcohol testing.
